Wall taken out on top of staircase, made matching solid oak newel post with detailed cut out’s and moulded newel cap with matching Victorian oak handrail base rail and spindles to match existing staircase.

Photos were taken of the original stair parts and the parts drawn to scale, the newel cap was taken of and used for a pattern.

From this cutters were produced, the oak for the newel post was made of two pieces of four by two and was jointed together to make the four by four for the finished product.
